Our Story
In the year 2000, we walked out of San Beda as fresh graduates, full of dreams and ambition, ready to take on the world. The memories we built together shaped us into the individuals we are today—driven, compassionate, and committed to making a difference. But as time passed, our focus evolved beyond personal success, and a deeper purpose began to take root.
Recognizing the values instilled in us by our beloved alma mater, we formed the DBE2000 Foundation to give back to the communities that have shaped us.
United by the Red Lion spirit, we aim to carry forward the Benedictine ethos of service, humility, and love for others. Together, we strive to create meaningful, long-lasting change in the lives of those who need it most, guided by the sense of duty that we all shared in our days at San Beda.
Our Mission
At the heart of the Foundation is the mission to uplift communities by providing support, resources, and opportunities for those in need. Rooted in the Benedictine tradition of “Ora et Labora” (Prayer and Work), we are dedicated to empowering the underprivileged through education, health initiatives, and social welfare programs.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to extend a helping hand to our fellow Filipinos, ensuring that no one is left behind. We believe in fostering a culture of giving, inspiring future generations to build a kinder, more inclusive world. Through collaboration, commitment, and collective effort, we aim to create sustainable impact, improving the quality of life for families, children, and communities across the Philippines.
Our Programs
Our Foundation focuses on a wide range of programs that address critical issues in underserved communities, driven by the values we learned at San Beda. These initiatives include:
- Educational Scholarships
We believe in the transformative power of education. Our scholarship program helps provide deserving students with access to quality education, covering tuition, supplies, and other essential needs. - Health and Wellness Initiatives
Good health is the foundation of a thriving community. We conduct medical missions, provide health education, and offer support for families dealing with illness. Our aim is to ensure that basic healthcare is accessible to everyone, especially the marginalized. - Community Outreach
